They were so helpful and explained everything that was going on and also explained the new roofing materials that were being used that I had never seen. They also had a porta potty put out for themselves to use and they did an excellent job of cleaning up after themselves!

Did a great job on fixing small leaks on my patio cover roof. They coated it with rubber like coating that sealed all small leaks and will protect the roof for years. Professional and good working team.

This roofing outfit maintains an office and phone number in Bellville, which is my local area, under "Bellville Roofing," which made me think it's a local company. However, I didn't know it was Sugar Land Roofing LLC as registered with the state until the trucks arrived sporting the Sugar Land name. Nevertheless, I hired this outfit and paid $8,600 to replace 2,400 screws in the metal roof on my house and garage, and to replace any damaged or missing closure strips (house only) and to reseal vent pipes, and a roof wash. I found their work sub-par. The job was rushed in my opinion -- done in five hours including a lunch break -- even though I made clear I was paying such a large sum because I was putting my trust in them to take the time to do the job right. Nevertheless, Improper tools were used (torque drivers, which are fast and drive hard but are not recommended by the screw manufacturers), causing many of the screws to be set too deep. Some of the screw seals are distorted from over-torquing. Also, screw caps are in contact with the roof in many instances. These problems can and do cause leaks and corrosion, when the purpose of screw replacement is to prolong the life of the roof. A roofing screw has to be set so the seal is firmly against the roof but the shallower metal cap shouldn't contact the roof. On it's first attempt the company brought smaller screws than I'd been shown would be used. I allowed the job to continue, and at that time of day the crew finished it's hard to look up into the sun to get a good view the roof, but I told them I was happy. A couple days later, when I was cleaning gutters and saw the job was actually poorly done, particularly because of over tightened screws, I called the owner who agreed to come back with the crew and do the job again with the larger screws we'd originally agreed would be used. When they finished the second time I viewed the roof from a ladder a crew member set in one corner for me, and in that area the job looked much better and I told the owner just that. Later with a more thorough examination I discovered problems still existed because they'd used to same methodology, but when I called the owner he said he wasn't coming back again. The owner kept trying to hold me hostage to anything I'd said positive about the work earlier, which was prior to thorough inspection. A professional should be his or her own worse critic and know when the job is done well better than I do rather than just try to hold me hostage to anything complimentary I said. Personally, I don't care what I said. I know what I found after a good examination, and that was poor workmanship for the most part. Also, the job was originally quoted on the written bid for $8,000 then changed on the contract to $8,600 with no explanation and which I didn't notice until after my prompt payment of the higher amount. In addition, one of the vents was not resealed. I can't recommend Sugar Land Roofing LLC no matter to which name it answers.

I recently received a quote for installing a 3" or 4" vent cover. The job requires a skilled repairman to access the roof from our second-floor patio and walk 6 feet to the vent to place the cover. The quote is $2,500, which is approximately 50 times the cost of the part and 10 times more than the next quote I received. For context, a brand new roof would cost around $17,000. The repair for the vent would be fully refunded if we choose them for the roof replacement in the future, and that cost is still less than 7 times the vent repair quote. Considering the significant price difference between repairing a vent and replacing an entire roof, I know who I won't be calling next time! LMAO.
